The UK Stem Cell Foundation is extremely excited to announce Paralympian, London gold medallist, Josie Pearson MBE, as its newest Ambassador.

Following a car accident, Josie is tetraplegic and has neither sensation nor movement from her upper chest down, due to a spinal cord injury. However, this didn’t stop her going on to compete in Beijing and taking gold in discus at the London 2012 games. Josie is now training hard for the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Josie was studying Neuroscience at Cardiff University before her accident, and now she has become an inspiration to millions worldwide. She had a general interest in stem cells and their potential to cure so many different life threatening diseases and conditions.

Josie is thrilled and excited to support the Foundation and make a difference for generations to come.
