About Us
The UK Stem Cell Foundation was set up in 2005 to speed up the progress of promising stem cell research and technology into treatments and therapies for patients.
-
About Stem Cells
A stem cell is a cell capable of becoming another cell type in the body, such as a skin, muscle or nerve cell. Because of their ability to become different types of cells, they offer us the greatest potential to treat degenerative conditions and illness.
