INTRODUCTION

The new Centre for Biomedical Research at Little France will house the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine

Over the last six months there have been a number of exciting developments within the stem cell community. The Scottish Executive has commited funding to build a world leading Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine. NASA is to commercialise space technology to enable large growth of stem cells and the UK Stem Cell Foundation launched its first research project.

As we step into April, our focus should be on the launch of the UK National Stem Cell Network, a significant milestone for the industry, which will require the support of the entire UK stem cell community if we are to capitalise on the benefits of collaboration and unification.
